Update on applications from new clubs - season 2017-18

As the deadline of 31st December approaches, we can give an update on applications received from clubs wishing to compete in our League next season.
At present, the League has received notification from Wythenshawe Town that they have applied to the FA for promotion from the Step 7 Cheshire League Premier Division.
Wythenshawe Town are currently second in their league, three points behind leaders Whaley Bridge, but with a game in hand.
No other applications have been notified to the League at this stage, although more may well arrive before the deadline.
League Secretary John Deal said: "I cannot speculate at this stage on any other application, although we are led to believe that there may be at least one other.
"I would, however, remind our existing member clubs about the importance of achieving the required ground grading, as any club in default as at 31st March will be placed in a relegation position, regardless of their final league placing".
