The FA has circulated the full list of applicants for promotion from Step 7 to Step 6 leagues.

As far as our League is concerned, two clubs from our feeder Step 7 Leagues have applied:

Wythenshawe Town (Cheshire League)
Abbey Hulton United (Staffordshire County Senior League)

The clubs concerned now have to meet the required ground grading by the 31st March 2017, in order to be eligible for promotion in the event they finish in a promotion position.

At the moment, Wythenshawe Town sit in second place in the Cheshire League, three points behind league leaders Whaley Bridge, and Abbey Hulton United are ten points clear at the top of the Staffordshire County Senior League.

League Secretary John Deal said:  "We are encouraged that two clubs from our feeder leagues have applied for promotion, and it now means that there is an increased likelihood that we will be relegating one or two clubs at the end of the season from Division One.

"All clubs must therefore be aware that if they do not need the required ground grading standard by 31st March, they will automatically be placed in a relegation position irrespective of their points total, and will therefore run the risk of being relegated to a Step 7 league given that we have a full complement of clubs and two applications from new clubs wishing to join us".

In all, 44 clubs from Step 7 Leagues across the country applied for promtion and the full list is as follows.
