Runcorn Town have announced the appointment of Paul McManus as their permanent First Team manager.
McManus, who was appointed as caretaker manager following Chris Herbert's departure, has accepted the job on a permanent basis after initially taking the job on a caretaker basis until the end of the season.
Daniel Jarrett, who Macca brought in straight away from Barnton last month, has also accepted the job as Assistant Manager, whilst Craig Jones, who has played this season at West Cheshire League One side Rainhill Town, will be rejoining the club next season as part of the coaching staff.
Of his appointment, Macca said "Firstly just want to say a big thank you to the Chairman and Committee on giving me and the coaching staff the opportunity to manage the club. It is a great privilege to have people put their trust in you as I've been here three years now and enjoyed every minute.
"To be manager this fantastic club for next season brings me onto mine and the clubs ambitions.
"I am a very ambitious and competitive person so my aim for next season is to improve on this season greatly and achieve what we already should of done since I have been here which is to gain promotion.
"I am excited that DJ & Tigs have already agreed to be part of the coaching staff next year, and I am in promising talks with another influential person who would bring great experience and knowledge to the group."
Club Chairman Lindsay Berry said "It has been a difficult time for Macca as caretaker seeing out the season with little to play for, but he has delivered some fine results and performances over the last month or so. As a committee, we had a meeting with Macca and DJ where we outlined each others plans for next season and what we all wanted.
"Having been with us for three years, both Macca and DJ have a great understanding of the club and its supporters. We therefore thought we should make the appointment permanent now instead of waiting until the end of the season as we originally intended, and are delighted that both of them have accepted."
